MDF Joinery

MDF is a tough and long-lasting material, which does not expand and contract like solid wood when there is a change in humidity. MDF is a popular choice for skirting boards and architrave is because it is a much cheaper alternative to solid wood varieties. The surface of MDF is smooth, unlike solid wood which can have natural defects such as knots and grains. This makes MDF a much easier material to paint.
